The traditional output screen is a normal text-based window. The information in the output window is coming from various part of Visual Studio. The problem with this window is very hard to search. In this blog you will learn how to get an intuitive Visual studio output window with the Meta Project Extension.
Install Meta Project Extension:
Open Visual Studio -> go to Extension- >Manage Extension -> Search for MetaProject and download the extension.
After the download restart your Visual Studio
I have loaded ASP.NET Core web application and rebuild it.
Now you can see the new MetaOutput window, which differentiates the build, commands, warnings, errors and so on based on colors and other parameters and it’s very easy to search a particular information.
You will get a filter option at right bottom of the screen, where you can filter the output based on status, commands, warnings and so on.
You have learned about the benefits of the MetaProject extension. We will see more about Visual studio tips and tricks in my future blogs.
